"Destiny Is Never Fair to Those Who Wait"
For no particular reason I have pretty much abandoned taking my camera out with me the past few weekends. Because of this my blog has shifted slightly from my life being the basis of material to my ideas, feeling and inspirations being put on display. That being noted; I have seen a couple dope movies in the past few days.
I saw Shutter Island on Saturday with Chris and his brother Marco. DiCaprio and Scorsese do not miss with this one. To tell you any minute detail of the movie would not do it justice and probably reveal the ending so I will not even attempt even though I have tried to explain the plot more than once and failed miserably at doing so. Like I said DiCaprio is amazing but the supporting cast is crazy good also. The guy next to him in the above picture plays his partner, this guys is equally good as Leo in the movie. The actors name is Mark Ruffalo or Ruffolo or some shit like that. He was also in another one of my all time favorites: All the Kings Men. Dude also graduated from F.C. a while ago. Here is the link to Anthony Lane's(The New Yorker) take on Shutter Island. Spoiler Alert: Mr. Lane does not like the movie as much as me.
So last week I substituted for an I.S.S. coordinator for a few days which is to say I did no teaching; I sat there and made sure 2 students said nothing and did there work all day. This might be the dopest job I have ever had. I sat for like 5-6 hours and just read and after getting bored with reading I watched movies on YouTube. I came across this movie on YouTube and the only reason I watched it was because Van Johnson and Elizabeth Taylor were in it. This movie did not disappoint. The Last Time I Saw Paris is a movie adaptation of one of my favorite short stories by one of my favorite authors: Fitzgerald's Babylon Revisited. The movie deals with disillusionment caused by WWII in Paris, of course. Van Johnson and Elizabeth Taylor both play the leads, again can't miss with these 2 in any movie that either are in.
Either way you see one of these 2 movies and your time will not be ill spent.

Adam

Birdberry Pictures
I haven't posted in a while again.... because I have, yet again, slipped into the same routine on the weekend: Waterman's(optional), Lucky's, Guad's, throw up. But I have been taking pictures of everyday life on the birdberry. So here are some goodies:
So being relativity unemployed Chris, AJ and I took all of our gentley used brand named shoes to Plato's closet to sell. I had 1 pair of exclusive, never been worn es's, AJ had a few pairs of air force ones that he wore to prom once or some shit and Chris had literally a whole bucket of shoes that were mildly worn. None of which they would buy. On the up side someone decided to pass on our shoe but bought these patented leather pair of men's purple Air Forces. That place is seriously Foley's paradise.
Timmy's pants on a night in which Waterman's was on the agenda. I thought they were hilarious after a few Orange Crushes and now I just feel like they are kind of funny. Anyways, you should see them.
This was on the back of a dressing room door and I thought it was good marketing; so I followed the sign. I went ahead, I got it. I didn't want to though.
Chocolate Wine. Needs no explanation. Looks disgusting. Automatically thought of Timmy.
Funniest picture on my phone. If you don't get it you don't get it. Thanks Mandy and Brian.
My new part time job. I does not hurt. Ask Wade.
Some dude proposed to his wife in Lucky's on a Sunday morning in front of like 25 hungover/still drunk people from the night before. A.K.A. Foley in 6 years, if he can ever find a girl drunk enough to marry him. Was that over the line? Congratulations to the happy couple, though. And thanks for the shot at 11 in the morning.

"You know how come you just know things are amazing? Because you have taste."
I know it is late but I just finished this new movie called "An Education". It has stars Carey Mulligan and Peter Sarsgaard. "An Education" is up for Best Picture of the year and because this movie is so dope and the only thing that might be better is Inglorious Basterds and that is only because QT directed it. Anyway, this Carey Mulligan is such a good young actress and she is dating Shia Labeouf i thought i would share her screentest with you but i forgot how to embed movies on to blogger so here is the link for Carey Mulligan's screen test from NYTimes:

Check out the movie if you are ever in a city that caries BBC movies releases; seriously such a good movie.

Now is the Winter of My Discontent
Schools are shut down again. Usually this is a dope thing for me. Not now, being a "Guest Teacher" if schools are not open i do not get paid. Anyways, the snow forces me inside because I hate snow so much; I do not want to play in it and if another person asks me to go sledding or pull them behind my truck I am going to lose it. Here are the pluses of the extended snow days: I saw "The Book of Eli" yesterday with James after getting a dope buzz at Kelly's before the movie. Also, I found this pretty recent interview of Pharrell:
